Philanthropy Manager
The role
The role of Philanthropy Manager is new in our growing Philanthropy & Special Events team. It is an opportunity for someone with demonstrable experience of raising funds from charitable trusts, and high net worth individuals to deliver results in an ambitious new phase for Breast Cancer Now.
An externally focussed, relationship management role, the postholder will be responsible for cultivating, engaging and stewarding high level relationships with individuals and Trusts and Foundations.
Working closely with the Head of Major Gifts and key internal stakeholders the role will focus on securing and developing high impact, long term relationships with high net worth individuals and trusts & foundations to deliver the sustainable income needed to deliver our ambitious new strategy to 2024.
A key focus of this role will be to support the growth of our Major Gifts fundraising programme, identifying opportunities to raise funds from individuals. The role will also build upon the success of the trust & statutory programme managing an established portfolio of trust relationships whilst developing new approaches with emphasis on prospective funders with the capacity to make significant commitments to Breast Cancer Now.

We are looking for a highly motivated, innovative relationship manager with a well-developed understanding and knowledge of philanthropy. You will have demonstrable experience of soliciting five figure gifts from high net worth individuals and a track record of meeting challenging income targets as well as experience of being part of higher value asks alongside colleagues and senior volunteers.
The role will support a culture of proactive relationship building and solicitation to grow our pool of major supporters and senior volunteers ensuring prospective funders are engaged with appropriate propositions, including our giving club, Progress Fund.
